Hello friends, I hope this finds you enjoying a beautiful spring. Mine is off to a great start—I’ve photographed the most delightful mixture of newborns, toddlers, teens, headshots, puppies, and to top it off I had the honor of photographing a dear friend’s wedding. This time of year, when I’m not in my studios or office, spring finds me in the yard tending to over thirty peonies that I’ve planted in our gardens. Don’t you just love the robust beauty of a peony? Both my grandmothers grew them and they hold rich memories for me. I have an extensive collection of peony portraits I’ve done through the years which I’ll turn into a book one day. Early spring starts my outdoor family portrait season. If you’re due for updated photographs of your family and don’t want to wait to pack them into the busyness of the holidays, now is a great time to schedule. If you have a senior who will graduate this May there’s still a bit of time left to have portraits done and delivered before graduation. If you have a junior who will graduate in May of 2024 it’s not too early to book your fall senior session—we all know it will be here before we know what hit us. I’ll leave you with a few photographs from some of what has kept me busy these past few weeks. I look forward to hearing from you, and working with you, soon. Enjoy, Lea
