Your headshot reveals a lot about yourself so let’s make it as wonderful as possible

Studio, office, location. Casual, dressy, formal. One outfit or several. I will work with you to create headshots you’re proud to show off.

There’s loads of reasons to have a headshot made

Updated web site profile, social media, printed promotional materials, job interviews, press packets, and speaking engagements are just a few.

Headshots can be done in my Brookside studios, at your office, or the location of your choice around Kansas City

Your headshot should be as individual as you are and that’s why I offer a variety of options when it comes to where to do your session.
My studios are a great choice; I have several backgrounds and color options for you to choose from, as well as a selection of furniture pieces that work as great foundations and posing accessories. All this works together to give your headshots a variety of looks.
Some clients prefer to have their office in the background so ask that I come to them. Never a problem. Also consider using the areas surrounding the outside of your office if you’d like a more natural setting.
Other clients take advantage of the wonderful natural backgrounds available all over Kansas City. I’ve even done headshots at classic KC landmarks like the Nelson-Atkins Museum, Loose Park, The Plaza, Liberty Memorial, West Bottoms, Leawood Park, among many others.

If you’re wanting to do your headshot outside keep Kansas City’s heat and humidty in mind

Everyone knows Kansas City gets blasted with heat and humidity in the summer months so if you’re wanting to do your headshot outside be thinking about the seasons and the time of day. Except for the hottest of summer days mornings are often cool enough to get a session in early enough to beat the heat. And I’m an early riser so doing your headshot session early is never a problem for me.

Clothing matters

Think about the look you’re wanting to convey with your headshot—contemporary, all business, outdoorsy, formal, or relaxed and casual. The look you’re wanting will dictate how you dress. And there’s no reason you can’t bring more than one outfit to your headshot session so we can create a variety of looks.

Don’t forget your accessories

Suit coat, tie, pocket square, hat, watch, scarf, earrings, bracelet, necklace, brooch. These kinds of accessories add personality and punch to your headshots so be sure to bring them along. If you’re planning to do a variety of clothing changes be sure you bring accessories for each outfit.

But I HATE being photographed

Little secret? So do I. And that’s why I make my headshot sessions enjoyable and efficient but never rushed. I will guide you into positions that work great without making you feel awkward. AND I’ll show you what I’m getting on the back of my camera so you can see that I’m not lying when I say you look amazing; plus it gives us a chance to tweak things if you notice something you’d like to change.
