Babies go through so many significant changes in their first year of life—from being wrinkly, curled newborns to crawling, roaming toddlers. They get their first little teeth and hair, they learn to sit, crawl, stand and often walk in the span of just twelve short months!

What is the Baby Plan?

My Baby Plan is a portrait program designed around the major developmental milestone stages that babies go through during their first year of life—propping, sitting, cruising and standing/walking. Each of the four major milestones is celebrated and captured in a studio portrait session. At the end of the first year you’ll select one photograph from each session to be printed in a portrait panel which comes framed, ready to be hung and enjoyed.

What milestones do you photograph in the Baby Plan?

Baby Plan photographs celebrate propping, sitting, cruising and standing as well as all the other wonderful things going on with your baby in the first year—clutching, rolling over, crawling, first teeth and sometimes even first hair cuts! Whatever wonderful things going on with your baby will be photographed in images you’ll treasure.

What if my baby is a little behind or a little ahead developmentally? Can I still do the Baby Plan?

Absolutely! I know every baby is different—growing and developing at their own pace, but typically babies are propping up at three to four months, sitting around six to seven months, walking while holding onto a sturdy piece of furniture at nine to ten months. The final Baby Plan portrait is done on or near your baby’s first birthday no matter where they are developmentally—cruising, standing alone, walking or even running! When your baby accomplishes these milestones we schedule a studio portrait session.

That first year goes by in a blur which is why I designed my Baby Plan to capture this time in beautiful, classic photographs.

I purposefully keep my Baby Plan portraits very simple with a minimum of props. My style of photography puts the emphasis on your child so you’ll always remember their beautiful soft skin, their little arm and leg rolls, their fuzzy hair, their first little teeth, their sweet smiles.
